  • Do I need to send you my architects or engineers drawings?

    No, our system is flexible and should suit your needs by selecting the correct configuration from our product page. If you need help selecting the configuration you should consult your architect or engineer to assist.

  • Will you send me a drawing for me to approve?

    No, each component has its own technical drawing available online for you to confirm the suitability prior to adding to your configuration. There are no technical drawings required for approval. You will be sent the final configuration you have built online, the suitability of this configuration is the responsibility of the user to build correctly.

  • Who is responsible for the specification of the windpost

    The client is responsible for seeking your structural engineers approval of our system prior to ordering. We do not supply any loading data for our system.

  • What windpost section sizes do you offer?

    We currently only offer one WP3 Section which is 85x60x6. Please seek your structural engineers approval of our system prior to ordering.

  • How do I install the windpost?

    At the end of our configurator there is a product leaflet that you can download which shows the overall product and gives a guide to installation. The product should be installed by a qualified builder and alongside your engineers’ guidance.

    TIPS
    Bolt the stem to the base connection with a suitable bolt (this will lock the stem to the base connection (there is a suitable slot in the stem to accommodate)
    Always use the isolation pads provided to fix the stainless steel wall ties to the galvanized stem (this will stop cross contamination)
    If you choose to cut the windpost stem treat any cut edge with cold galv spray (you can purchase this as an accessory)

  • What are the loadings for your windposts?

    We do not supply any loading data for our system. The client is responsible for seeking your structural engineers approval of our system prior to ordering. We suggest you send our product link to your engineer for approval prior to ordering.
